Job SummaryResponsible for evaluating and testing software applications for usability and functionality. Requires basic knowledge and understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) as it applies to the design, testing and implementation of software. Requires basic knowledge and understanding of programming using automated testing tools and software. Demonstrated experience managing the software design and development process in FDA-regulated industry. Experience applying software testing tools and programming to test developed software for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to established quality standards. Experience documenting software evaluation, testing and corrections according to established procedures.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or a related discipline.
If Senior level, 3-5 years? previous experience in FDA regulated industry preferably medical device, diagnostic or biotech.
If Junior level, Associate?s degree with 1-3 years? previous experience in software quality assurance and working knowledge of quality testing tools and systems preferably medical device, diagnostic or biotech.
Demonstrated track record of success with improvement, maintenance of quality systems.
Strong initiative, organizational skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills, strong interponal skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business technical procedures, governmental regulations.
