Senior Software Quality Assurance and Automation Engineer Data Robotics

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Software Quality Assurance and Automation Engineer to work in a team responsible for developing automation and assuring quality for next-generation features of Drobo storage products. This individual will also create, document, implement, and maintain test scripts for cutting-edge storage solutions. The ideal candidate is self directed and team oriented, and knows and cares what customers want from our products. You should like to break things, be exhilarated when you discover a really complex defect, and be so detail oriented that people have actually commented on it. This position requires healthy doses of initiative and flexibility in a very dynamic environment.
Essential Responsibilities

Participate in test planning and creating test cases
Execute manual and automated tests
Design, implement, and maintain SQA infrastructure, tools, and scripts using PERL/Python
Understand SQA processes and have the ability to match a process to an organization?s requirements
Demonstrate the ability to evaluate and improve SQA processes
Understand Drobo product technology in sufficient detail to analyze results and troubleshoot problems

Job Specifications/Requirements

Deep knowledge of key storage and networking concepts and protocols
Strong understanding of virtualization technologies; VMWare/MS/Zen Certification is a strong plus
Strong programming and automation experience using PERL/Python
Knowledge of MS Windows, Mac OS-X, and Unix/Linux.; experience setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting operating systems
Demonstrated strength in design, development, and implementation best practices
Capable of effective communication, presentation, follow-up, and leadership
Excellent team player; ability to interact with cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to multitask in a dynamic startup environment
Experience using test management systems
A minimum of 8 years of experience
