Job Responsibilities
Create new processes wherever needed and ensure that DTS consumer and professional audio products (including software, documentation and any associated data) conform to existing and new processes and procedures
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
?Review all development and quality plans for clarity and completeness.
?Participate in design and code inspections.
?Review samples of all test results to determine adherence to plans.
?Participate in all project phase reviews; recording any nonconformance.
?Test of certification licensee streams by creating and running an automated regression test suite.
?When binary comparisons are not satisfied, further testing may be required with other automated tools and, if necessary, spectral inspections and listening tests.
?Cross-platform comparison testing (bit-exactness wherever possible).
?Work with development to create spec for new products or features, and then test from that spec.
?QA of packaging - Visual Studio project, documentation, etc.
?Work with R&D and/or contractors on defining and enhancing comparison tools and other utilities.
?QA of tools and utilities.
?Purify coverage, memory and performance analysis, profiling, and benchmarking (potentially comparing with competitive products).
?Perform code coverage analysis and specifying required test vectors.
?Create new streams and design new tests based on R&D input and the performance profiling.
?Work with R&D and Certificate to create test plans that adhere to standards.
?Improve SQA testing efficiency and develop automated test suites.
?Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Education and Experience
?Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent area of study required
?3+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience with C/C++ programming skills, Bath/Python/Perl scripting languages and fundamental knowledge of audio DSP required
?Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
?Understand the software product life cycles and have tested and shipped a product from start to completion.
?Proficient in C/C++, bash scripting, Make file, and/or Python
?Experience with multiple platforms: Microsoft Windows, Linux and Cygwin environment.
?Experience with GUI automation and GNU toolchain (compiler/debugger) testing.
?Release management and familiar with distributed source control management (CVS, Mercurial, etc.).
?Experience with issue tracker (Bugzilla, Jira, etc.)
?Embedded system test experience a plus.
?Audio test experience.
