POSITION: Senior Software Systems Engineer

LOCATION: St. Paul, MN

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

system & database administration support for various environments & products; assist in designing of product platform architecture including an integrated build & delivery infrastructure allowing for a Continuous Integration/Delivery development lifecycle. Position may be required to assist in troubleshooting of system function and performance issues in a customer's production environment or an internal system. Req incl. at least 2 yrs exp. in the job offered and continuous integration experience at an Enterprise Scale on more than one of the following platforms: AIX, HP-UX, Sun, System I, Windows, or Linux, including an application build framework (Ant, CruiseControl, MSBuild, NAnt); Experience designing and developing distributed applications using Java platform for commercial, enterprise software including the following: Server-side J2E Experience (Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, Glassfish, JBoss, etc), mobile application development or architecture (J2MEm, IPhone/Android, objective C , java script ,jQuery, HTML and HTML5), MVC frameworks (Struts, Spring, Stripes, etc); developing Experience developing data-driven applications using an industry standard RDBMS & Object Relational Mapping, JDBC and ORM persistence technologies (EJB, JPA, Hibernate, TopLink, etc), exp. with XML, XSLT, AJAX and JSON, JMS ,SOAP & RESTful web services; exp setting up Code Quality Best Practices, Test-Driven Development, Behavior-Driven Development, and other Testing Best Practices for Continuous Delivery lifecycle that includes ITIL best practices, RUP & Certification in Agile or Scrum methodologies; exp. with a modern version control system (SVN, Accurev, Git, CVS); expertise in key technologies including: Disaster recovery/business continuance planning, Enterprise architecture strategies and Hosting strategies; technical proficiency in IT systems, including not limited to: network elements such as LDAP, IP, SSH, SFTP, VPN, Firewall; infrastructure development for installation, configuration, and maintenance using custom scripting (Perl, Jython, JRuby, Velocity); and exp. designing & implementing tools to migrate product to a cloud-based PaaS and SaaS product including: cloud suitability assessment, data center migration, or server consolidation with ASP and ISP using EC2 Web Services and VMWare products.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education req. â€" Master's degree or Bachelor's in comp sci, eng or related field and 5 progressive yrs of exp. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
