Senior Sofware Engineer Healthline

Work with strong engineering team to define, architect, design and develop internet applications as well as tools for internal use.

Responsibilities

- Develop new components of Healthline's web site, partner solutions and internal tools
- Extend and enhance existing functionality
- Contribute to architecture, tools, standards and practices for the engineering organization
- Make major contributions to the team, with an opportunity for team leadership
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

- 5+ years Java web application development experience
- Strong skills in:
o Java
o JSP, tomcat, apache, servlets, Spring
o Relational databases: SQL, JDBC, Oracle and/or MySql
o XML and Java XML APIs
- Object-oriented software design
- Ability to design, code, test, and guide deployment of complex software releases
- Experience in developing and architecting high volume, large-scale consumer-facing websites
- Deep understanding in java server platform and system tuning
- Comfortable in a linux/unix environment

Optional, but Desired

- Experience in search, data mining and/or text mining
- Lucene
- SOAP, Axis
- Health care industry experience a plus

Education/Experience

BSCS or equivalent; minimum five (5) years of related experience.
