Job Description
The solution consultant develops effective and comprehensive software demonstrations to highlighting the functionality of SilkRoad?s suite of product solutions. Working in conjunction with the sales team, the solution consultant actively drives and manages the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, partners with the sales team to strategize on techniques, and assumes ownership of all functional aspects of the sales cycle. In addition to requiring a balance of technical and sales aptitude, this role requires a consultative approach to assisting prospects and clients through the sales process to ensure a firm understanding of system functionality and timely and accurate implementation.
Typical tasks include:
Understands the purpose, roles and activities related to solution demonstration and participates in applying this technique to facilitate application design and implementation;
Validates functional requirements, architecture, and user interface design with internal staff and external clients;
Demonstrates technology to business and technical users , as well as C-Level decision makers;
Acts a certified resource and product advocate to provide solution presentations, product demonstrations and Proofs of Value;
Documents new tools or enhancement ideas/requests to create, promote and support product vision;
Keeps abreast of the latest developments related to product domain and competition marketplace;
Participates in quality assurance testing, test plan development and troubleshooting, as needed;
Special projects and other related job duties, as assigned.
Required Skills
Demonstrated experience with web-based presentation tools;
Ability to understand an organization?s needs from recruitment to offboarding and identify opportunities for applying software solutions;
Ability to listen to client requirements in order to develop and deliver professional solution presentations which are pertinent, linking the needs to the solutions;
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment;
Strong organizational and excellent follow-up skills with attention to detail;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills;
Extensive knowledge of Windows, MS Office, internet and some HTML;
Strong professional customer orientation with excellent work ethic and dedication.
Required Experience
Bachelor?s Degree in Human Resources or Computer Science;
Minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.
