Liaison Sales is looking for a Senior Solution Presales Engineer to support the North American enterprise sales team. This position is primarily responsible for providing technical and solution support for our strategic enterprise sales team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad mix of technical skills in the areas of data integration and data management as well as strategic sales and consultative sales expertise. This is a high visibility position on the forefront of technology in a high-technology environment, which breeds an ?entrepreneurial? spirit and passion.
This position includes analyzing the needs of prospects, applying problem-solving skills and recommending the appropriate solution framework to solve a prospect?s business problems. This position will primarily be responsible for championing technical sales discussions with prospects at various business levels, providing demonstrations of our products, researching and differentiating our solutions from competitors, recommending solution architectures based on prospect needs, responding to RFPs and properly positioning our solutions with prospects in a competitive environment.
Essential Job Functions
Support Direct Sales and Partner sales on Liaison products and solutions
Represent Liaison as the subject matter expert during sales discussions
Demonstrate credibility and subject matter expertise of the Liaison team ? particularly in the areas of data integration and data management both on premise and in the Cloud
Present and demonstrate solution to customers, prospects and partners
Conduct needs analysis to determine customer solution requirements and product fit
Design/Architect solutions based on customer?s needs and product mix
Ensure technical feasibility and a smooth transition for the Professional Services Implementation teams
Consult with Sales Team and Prospects to create and execute Proof of Concept scenarios
Champion solution enhancements and customer requests with product management
Keep up on the competitive landscape and provide sales and development with feedback on what the competitors are doing and saying
Provide ongoing product and technical research to the sales team as needed
Job Requirements
Minimum of 12 years of overall experience in a technology company
At least 8 years experience in Sales Engineering/Pre-Sales/Solution consulting
Strong business and technical acumen in the B2B, EAI, BPM, eCommerce and ESB arena
Knowledge of the managed services, cloud services brokerage and IaaS required
Proven record of working with prospects and customers in a complex sales setting
Ability to learn and become a Subject Matter Expert on Liaison products and solutions
Ability to interact and communicate at all levels of a customer organization
Must be energetic, self-started, self-confident, self-motivated and ability to work independently
Must have an enterprise sales/pre-sales background
Comfortable in a multi-tasking and deadline-driven workplace
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Travel Requirements
Candidate must be willing to travel 50-75%
