Job Function
This position is to work closely with our Sales operation in both securing new customers and further developing business at existing customers. This position is responsible for evaluating account needs, helping to develop sales strategies and understanding the technical aspects of the sales environment. This position requires the ability to deliver a tailored message including all aspects of the TrackWise solution including software, services and ongoing support. Additionally, this position serves as a resource to the sales force in all product and technical related activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist account managers in information gathering, analysis on business challenges, user and functional requirements, business processes, standard operating procedures, workflows, and other documents.
Engage in direct dialogue with prospective and current customers surrounding their needs and requirements for quality management systems.
Attend scheduled sales appointments and/or conference calls to reinforce sales presentations by providing technical answers and details.
Prepare or guide the preparation of high quality configured demo databases for product demonstrations to key accounts.
Perform product demonstrations on-site, or from the office via web conference software, to prospective and current customers.
Perform pre-sales TrackWise workshops with customers, on-site or at the office, in an effort to demonstrate product functionality and value.
Respond to informal customer questions and requests for information (e.g., list of e-mailed questions, questions posed to sales representative at a meeting).
Assist in analyzing special requirements that may require development of new features, custom integration, or custom functionality.
Document product enhancements that would increase the value of the customer's use of the product and/or service for use in ongoing product management.
Train sales people on new features and enhancements. This may include organizing, preparing, and presenting internal workshops for sales staff on as needed or scheduled basis.
Train sales people and product specialists on identifying and pursuing additional business from existing accounts.
Maintain and fulfill ?continuous improvement? functions on standard sales demo databases and Power Point presentations, etc. Keep these up to date and current with new features and acquired knowledge.
Provide support to sales force with maintenance of demo databases, reports, services, etc., on their laptops. This includes developing and executing procedures for routine restores of demo databases, fixing problems, enhancing presentation, etc.
Author and review white papers related to product functionality, company positions, best practices, case studies, etc. This includes application specific white papers which discuss how the product is used to solve problems in the organization.
Work with marketing staff to perform competitive analysis, including development of comparative features matrices.
Assist marketing and sales in providing technical and product information for formal requests for information and proposals, and for marketing material.
Assist in estimating amount of professional services required to perform implementations for given projects. Help professional services staff prepare Statements of Work (SOW) when required.
Engage in dialogue with members of the on-site product support group, product support manager, and customers to gather information for case studies and best practices. Document and train account managers on scope and usage of the products at particular accounts.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related area.
Must have pre-sales or solutions consulting experience in Business Intelligence
Experienced in analyzing customer requirements and ensuring that company products and/or services will accomplish the customer's objectives.
Detail orientated, excellent follow-through abilities, professional.
Capable of setting personal goals to achieve results and communicating effectively with all levels of management.
Self-starter who is reliable and able to execute special assignments and tasks, and has the experience to work independently and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Excellent analytical, logical, writing, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
Willing and able to travel out of state and internationally.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent presentation, writing, interpersonal communication, analytical, and logical skills.
Ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas in person, over the telephone, and in written correspondence, including excellent writing skills.
Comfortable and confident in speaking before large groups of people
Experienced with Windows and Internet technologies.
Excellent TrackWise and Crystal Reports skills and knowledge
