Senior Solutions Consultant McLaren Software
Key Objectives:
Designs and develops EE solutions, based on customer business requirements
Gather, influence and document customer business and functional requirements, in the
form of User Requirements Documents and subsequent Solution Design Documents
Develop and maintain good customer relationships, particularly with key end-users.
Works relatively independently.
Tasks:
Defines Works Instructions (work packages, or Statements of Work - SOW)
Defines and completes associated documentation, as defined in the McLaren Project
Methodology.
Liases with EE Product Managers and influence EE product development
Guides and Supervises junior project team members on customer engagements
Advises and influences customers on business and solution issues.
Writing and presenting of reports, proposals, projects, etc.
Running customer workshops etc to gather information
Performs Project Manager role on projects, as assigned.
Ensures accurate and timely completion of company administrative duties, as
per company policy. (E.g. Timesheet and Expense submissions)
Assist with sales, from a solutions perspective, as and when required
Maintain extensive knowledge of McLaren supported Product range.
Essential Experience / Knowledge / Skills
Advanced functional understanding of McLaren product range, including DCTM,
FileNet, and the EE range of products
Practical knowledge and experience of UML Object orientated design methodology
Working knowledge of the following: Client Relationship Management, Project
Management, Business Process Re-engineering, and Implementation of large-scale
software systems, complex technical solution design
4-6 yrs Experience of one or more of the following: Content and Document
Management, Engineering Document Management, workflow or knowledge
management.
Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and presentations
Delivery of IT solutions encompassing infrastructure, packaged software, custom
application development, business process improvement and culture change
Strong technical design background (Client/server, web, B2B, web services)
