To help us achieve our strategic business goals, we are currently looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our organisation.
With a global presence and a proven success rate of delivering technology solutions to support our client?s business, we need to employ top talent to support our key business functions. Our Procurement Specialists support the business in realising its strategic objectives by to planning and distributing the relevant spares and parts required by Dimension Data clients and technicians and ensure that they reach the right place at the right time.
As a Procurement Specialist for the CBU, your key function will be the planning and management of stock inventory in line with the requirements of the Dimension Data business and its clients and in so doing plan divisional spares holding to support the operation.
What we will expect you to do:
In this capacity we will need you to deliver on the following:
We need you to assist with the development of a spares planning strategy at a divisional level based on the global strategy, including the development of best practice methodologies and systems to enhance the management of spares.
You will need to ensure the planning of the spares inventory based all available sources of data and in line with client needs and maintain an appropriate level of spares inventory planning.
We rely on you to ensure that the correct parts are distributed to the Services teams to enhance successful repairs and the achievement of service level agreements.
We will need you to manages and approves spares purchases and the ordering of spares.
You will build and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and suppliers and manage these vendor relationships for sparing and draw on resource and existing relationships within the organisation.
We will rely on you to co-ordinate the re-instatement of the relevant vendor contracts and address all related issues.

Qualifications
Here?s what we are looking for in candidates for this job:
Key requirements:
At least 3-6 years? relevant experience in a similar environment
An Inventory Management qualification or similar
Membership to a professional accounting institution.
Key abilities required:
You are should have a proven, successful track record in inventory management coupled with strategic thinking ability.
You will need to have well developed negotiation skills with excellent interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
You will need to demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively in difficult situations.
