Senior SQA Engineer Rhythm NewMedia

Rhythm NewMedia is looking for an experienced SQA Engineer with a solid background in developing tests in Linux environments. This engineer will be responsible for black/grey box manual testing with an emphasis on functional/system integration testing.

You will be creating test cases based on specifications provided by engineering and product management as well as finding, filing, verifying and solving defects and issues. As part of your responsibilities, you will be providing extensive input to the software development process.
Experience/Qualifications

Extremely comfortable using relational databases and SQL
BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Linux savvy
2+ years in software testing
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle
Ability to understand large and complex software systems to isolate and reproduce defects
Passionate about software quality
Sweats the small stuff and sees the big picture
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of networking protocols
Has a Can Do attitude even when fighting a tight deadline
Strong sense of ownership
Knowledge of Java is a plus.
