LogRhythm is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant, under the direction of the US Accounting Manager, who will be responsible for assisting in all areas of the accounting function, including, but not limited to processing journal entries, analyzing and reconciling accounts, bank reconciliations, monthly close, internal/external financial reporting, sales tax reconciliations, assisting with external audit and documentation of processes and controls.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries: reversing, recurring and standard
Prepare reconciliations of various bank and credit card accounts
Review T&E reports and assist in enforcing company policy
Reconcile accrued expense, deposit and other accounts and adjust as needed
Reconcile numerous state and international VAT tax accounts
Reconcile tax software to accounting software and adjust as needed
Coordinate establishment of Nexus and state registrations with tax services
Coordinate preparation of all necessary tax documents with external auditors each quarter
Research technical accounting issues, resolving problems and documenting conclusions
Research inquiries relating to month-end financial information for various departments
Assist in monthly analysis comparing actual results to prior periods
Coordinate and assist in conducting accurate and timely month/quarter-end closings, e.g., financial statements, accruals, and eliminations.
Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements and analysis
Assist with development and implementation of internal controls and policies and procedures
Record capital lease, deferred rent, and other various accruals
Reconcile foreign bank accounts and record international wire transfers

Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other related field of study
Solid knowledge of US GAAP
Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience
CPA a plus, but not required
Desired Skills:
Advanced Excel skills
Experience in Public Accounting
Familiarity with recording foreign currency translations and transactions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present to all levels of an organization
Highest level of integrity, including an ability to preserve sensitive and confidential information and maintain confidentiality
Strong organizational and problem solving skills
Self-starter with a high energy level and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Enjoys working in a team environment as well as being an independent thinker and individual contributor
