Senior Staff Applications Engineer Link_A_Media Devices
Job descriptionThe successful candidate will participate and support SoC bring-up for SSD product development. The engineer will support reference design, review customer's designs and resolve customer issues from product development to mass production.
Resposibilities include working closely with internal design teams to bring-up and optimize NAND flash controller at a product level, writing technical papers, applicaiton notes, user instructions, participating in project conference calls and conducting necessary technical training internally or externally.
The engineer may travel to customer sites to build strong relations with technical decision makers, and will perform technical support to sales and marketing teams for design-win and market exploration.
Desired Skills & Experience
BS/MS in Computer Science or Electric Engineering
10+ years of working experience with SoC in the areas of data storage, wireless or networking
Experience with the schematics and layout of memory or high speed IO product
Experience with hardware debug and IC bring-up
Experience with high speed interface test and debug using an oscilloscope and logic analyzer
Familiar with PC system architecture and Windows/Linux OS environment
Experience with high speed interfaces such as SATA, PCI-e, SAS, eMMC will be a plus
Knowledge of NAND flash fundamentals
Understanding of SSD technology will be a plus
Strong written and oral communication skill in English
Willing to work in a multi-tasking, fast pace, team oriented working environment
