Overview:
The Senior Statistician, reporting to the Director of Analytics, will strengthen the analytics team through the design and conduct of studies which create value for the company and support its mission. This person will conduct analyses that employ advanced statistical methods to evaluate Accolade?s interventions. Typical analyses include estimating cost savings, forecasting members? health care utilization, creating propensity score matched cohorts, as well as parametric and non-parametric data reduction for building various profiles.
Much of the available data for Accolade?s analytic purposes do not readily lend themselves to conventional statistical approaches. The position requires creativity and strong problem-solving skills, and a broad base of experience in comparative effectiveness research.
Responsibilities:
Design and analyze complex healthcare outcomes studies.
Define data extraction criteria and create statistical analysis plans.
Manipulate large administrative databases to support projects and studies.
Work within the analytics group and with other Accolade business teams such as Clinical, Operations, Reporting, Marketing and Sales managers (among others) on an array of analytic projects across all business areas to advance the understanding of Accolade?s impact.
Qualifications:
Masters? degree preferred in Statistics, Biostatistics, Health Services Research, Epidemiology, Economics or related quantitative discipline.
3-5 years? experience performing advanced statistical analyses in a business or academic environment.
Experience conducting health care research using administrative data (claims, medical, pharmacy).
Strong SAS programming skills.
Excellent data management skills.
Work experience in an early stage company preferred.
Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-growing business environment.

Flexible and able to successfully follow multiple project timelines.
