GlassHouse Technologies is looking for Senior Storage Architects/Senior Consultants with technical expertise in data storage. In this exciting position you will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in storage technologies and oversee the definition and development of storage options, strategies, processes and necessary activities for assigned client engagements. In addition to possessing a deep technical background in Enterprise Storage (EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP, HDS) you will have extensive professional services experience within IT infrastructure consulting, as well as previous accountability at the senior technical director-level or above.RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess, architect, design and implement system configuration for software in customer environments
Provide technical support for Storage and SAN environment
Provide daily administrative support for Enterprise Storage environment
Directly interact with clients, account managers and solution architects to identify, develop, qualify, and obtain complete information for solutions including hardware, software and services, and complete proposal/SOW development
Mentor associate consultants and consultants and serve as escalation point for technical related project issues
Contribute and develop best practices, strategies, methodologies and documentation/templates
Achieve high level of Customer Satisfaction on all consulting engagements by overseeing and leading technical work streams and managing client project expectations with project managers and technical consultants and develop strong customer relationships and trust to secure future business
Troubleshoot issues when problems arise
Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned
PRIMARY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
BS Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other technical degree plus equivalent experience
Systems engineering in a large 24x7 operations corporate environment
8+ years? experience with the following is required: EMC Storage (DMX-VMAX/Clariion/Celerra/VNX), NTAP Filers, SAN experience (Cisco/Brocade/McData)
Experience with the following strongly preferred: SnapDrive, SnapManager, SnapShot, SRDF (Implementation experience in large environments), Enterprise Control Center (Implementation experience in large environments), Mirrorview, Replication Manger, Timefinder and Recoverpoint
In depth direct system engineering experience involving hardware, software and services solutions
Advanced knowledge of backup, restore and disaster recovery planning and deployment
Ability to work on-call hours to respond quickly to issues and outages providing advanced expertise to ensure the quickest MTTR possible
Additional Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux, Windows and VMware, network administration, switches, routers and firewalls a plus
ITIL experience and certification preferred
Strong consulting craft skills including interpersonal skills and good written and verbal communication skills are required.
Ability to travel approximately 10%
