Everything is in place except one thing: you.The Sr. Storage Engineer is responsible for architecting and managing all disk storage for Alert Logic to provide a stable and scalable platform for the SaaS products at the data centers.
Responsibilities:
Act as the storage subject matter expert who is able to design solutions while working with closely with development groups.
Deploy and manage the SAN storage at each Alert Logic data center.
Manage the fiber channel switch infrastructure.
Architect and implement the DR storage strategy, including the configuration and management of site to site SAN replication to DR sites.
Perform storage capacity planning.
Monitor the SAN and fiber channel switch health.
Manage vendor relationships and keep abreast of product roadmaps.
Investigate new technologies and devise test plans to solve storage problems, including the use of SSDs.
Required Skills:
5+ years of storage management on SAN storage in a multi-site enterprise environment.
Experience with fiber channel SAN switch fabrics and zoning.
Experience with SAN storage protocols including FCOE, iSCSI and FCIP.
Experience designing and implementing multi-switch fault tolerant fabrics.
Ability to investigate and troubleshoot performance problems and bottlenecks.
Experience with Linux/Unix system administration
