We have responsibility for providing insights to our clients that help them develop operationally excellent locations that delight their customers and improve the bottom line. That means we are critical to the acquisition and retention of customers and are key to Market Force?s value proposition. We?re the secret sauce that brings data to life! This senior role in the analytics team will be critical to the growth of the European extension of our analytics and insights team.
Education Level: Masters or Ph.D.
Experience: At least five years analytics and statistical modeling responsibilities working directly with clients in the retail, restaurant, hospitality, financial services, wireless/telecom, or services industries.
An expert user of IBM SPSS statistical software; expertise with ?Modeler? module of SPSS a plus
Direct Report: VP of Analytics and Insights and/or Chief Research Officer
Travel: 20% to 30%, primarily in UK
This role has three areas of responsibilities, as described below:
Statistical analysis of customer intelligence data, including customer satisfaction surveys, field audits, mystery shop, contact center, conversation rate data, and store-level financial data. Analyses will include building sophisticated models (multi-linear regression, structural equation modeling, etc.) to both soft metrics (customer metrics like Net Promoter Score, satisfaction, likelihood to return) and hard financial KPI?s (same store sales growth, share of portfolio, footfall, etc.). The analyst MUST be able to translate complex analyses into a business story that drives decision-making for our clients. Being an expert statistician is not enough?this role requires the ability to make the complex and sophisticated simple. Familiarity with traditional market research techniques like customer segmentation and/or loyalty brand tracking studies is a plus.
Consulting and presentation to clients in a variety of areas, ranging from questionnaire design to methodology comparisons to presentation of results. This role supports the client services team in creating a ?program architecture? for clients that includes best practices for measurement and analysis. We will require work samples as part of the interviewing and hiring process.
Team lead for the UK analytics team. Will be asked to provide guidance to other analysts and ensure that projects are appropriately planned and completed on-time?and that clients are extremely satisfied with the results. This job requires the ability to handle high volumes of work. Market Force has over 300 clients with varying demands for analytics. We do intense, sophisticated work in short time frames. Candidate must be prepared for this type of high volume, high stress, fast turn environment and will be most successful if they have worked at an agency or consulting group with multiple clients.
Extremely independent?the role does not allow for high-touch, hands-on management. This person must be able to execute very independently.
Collaborative?the role requires interacting with numerous internal and client teams. Creating the best business insights possible to drive decision-making is a team effort and will require input from multiple players.
Pragmatic?this role combines science and business, and thus requires an excellent analyst who is also an exceptional thinker and gets to the business implications.
