SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION:
AOptix Technologies is looking for Sr. Software Developer Support Engineer to join the Identity Solutions organization.Be part of a small growing group in a 100+ person privately-held Kleiner Perkins company. This is an exciting opportunity to impact the success of the product as you interface and problem-solve with developers, sales and marketing, and manufacturing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide customer development support, write sample code, interface with customers, diagnose system issues, and provide on-site and off-site support.
Coordinate with sales, marketing, manufacturing as well as development and SQA teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Isolate software vs. hardware issues
Understand software and hardware functional features and available tools
Support device and software SDKs, support system integration, and customer deployment
Develop automation scripts to analyze customer reported issues
Interface with customers, sales and marketing, manufacturing, program managers, and internal technical teams
Write training materials and provide customer technical training
Write problem report, resolution, and status
Work with product management to translate specific customer requirements into detailed software requirements
Travel up to 20% of time, including international travel
QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS- EXPERIENCE:
Ability to troubleshoot system issues to isolate software bugs or hardware failure
Experience writing tools in ObjectiveC, .NET, C#/C/C++, JavaScript, HTML, and Python languages
Strong experience in iOS. Linux and Windows are plusses.
Background in SDK, iOS app, networking, security, secure lockdown appliance a plus
Background in biometrics is not required, but is a strong plus
Possess strong interpersonal communication including oral, written and face-to-face communication skills.
Is organized, dedicated, articulate, energetic, and results oriented team player with positive attitude and excellent technical and people skills.
Work comfortably with basic electronic and mechanical hardware products, and thinking globally about product functionality, including user interface design, usability, and real world functionality.
Is able to think critically about issues related to algorithmic functionality and image processing as they relate to the customer experience.
Must have 2+ years of technical development support experience
B.S/M.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
