THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Mark Andy is seeking a Senior System Administrator to manage architecture, installations and configurations, of the hardware, OS, and some Middleware and application services. This person will be responsible for providing leadership to the UNIX team by eliminating day to day issues through automation and intelligent design. They will also be involved in projects building new environments for our customers and ensuring they meet all of our customers' needs.

?Must be able to work in a team environment
?Scripting automated tasks for UNIX based systems (Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise Linux) using automation tools
?Building new systems for our customers, utilizing Solaris on Sun hardware
?Must have 7 + years with Acitve Directory (AD), VMware, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Sun Solaris 9 ? 11
?Develop and maintain standard builds and practices around them
?Deliver a quality server to production for day to day management
?Develop solutions for more complex builds, including clustered deployments, and training other team members how to build and manage the environment going forward
?Able to adapt to rapidly changing environments
?Quickly troubleshoot issues and drive towards resolution
?Communicate with developers and application support and assist with resolution of build issues
?Participate / resolve help desk tickets associated with the Operating Systems
Qualified candidates must meet these qualifications:
?Candidate must have 7+ years' experience in managing and building UNIX environments including Redhat Linux and Solaris (9-11)
?Familiar with Red Hat Linux and Solaris with demonstrated experience managing the different components of the stack.
?Delivered standalone and VMware based Linux environments
?Strong documentation and communication skills
?Familiarity with tools for configuration and deployment automation
?Strong background and experience in Symantec Storage Foundation and Clustering
?Experience with Sun Cluster
?Experience delivering solutions utilizing Solaris zfs and zones
?Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on a deadline and coordinate with both technical and non-technical resources
?Extensive experience configuring, managing & troubleshooting Windows Active Directory environments
?Extensive experience configuring & administering Microsoft Windows Infrastructure & Active Directory services (DNS, DHCP, WINS, GPO, PKI, WSUS, etc.)
?Knowledgeable in deploying and configuring clustered and standalone VMware environments
?Experience utilizing and managing enterprise backup software (Netbackup, Backup exec, etc.)
?Knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows scripting language(s) (PowerShell, VBscript, etc.)
?Extensive experience configuring & deploying server hardware
?Strong understanding of Windows security best practices and experience implementing them (file share security, leveraging PKI to secure servers or wireless, etc.)
?Through understanding of core network concepts such as routing, access lists, Layer-2/Layer-3 as it pertains to the OSI model, subnet mask & gateway, etc.
?Through understanding of server hardware & software core technology concepts such as backup types, RAID, NIC teaming, etc.
?Associates Degree or related job experience, Bachelor's Degree preferred
?Minimum of 5 years? experience utilizing the mention technology as System Engineer
?Working knowledge of server based operating systems and communications protocols
?Knowledge of administrative best practices and methodologies
