Description
The Senior System and Application Administrator is a member of the IT team responsible for service delivery for all corporate-facing IT applications. This role manages all applications and infrastructure that are hosted on premise, additionally this individual is responsible for Integrating SaaS or cloud applications into our IT landscape. The Senior System and Application Administrator contributes to ongoing projects, writes and maintains documentation, and identifies and implements opportunities for improvements to system stability and functionality.
This position is responsible for maximizing our user?s productivity by focusing on applications and services we deliver instead of just infrastructure. Improving usability and efficiencies of applications is critical, in addition to troubleshooting and resolving user issues. The Senior System and Application Administrator needs to talk with users and understand their business needs.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for evaluating and managing cloud-based outsourced applications, including Microsoft BPOS email, Concur, Marketo, Taleo, and OpenAir.
Drive the adoption and evolution of technologies that solve business problems and enable the business to scale quickly and efficiently
Ensure the security, uptime and data integrity of IT systems against an Internal IT SLA, particularly customer-facing systems and systems that support key finance and sales activity.
Setting up policies and procedures to enforce security best practice and security enforcement utilizing GPOs and application security.
Requirements:
5+ years of Windows Systems Administration.
3+ years of experience in working with and administration of SaaS vendors.
Strong VMware skills using ESX/ESXi in a production environment.
Disaster Recovery planning and implementation experience.
Project management and documentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent support skills in person and by phone.
Experience in scripting or administration through programmatically calling APIs
Experience with systems monitoring, management and auditing
Experience with Microsoft servers and SQL 2005 or newer.
Located in San Francisco Bay Area
The Ideal candidate will also have:
Exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements or other change-controlled environment.
Strong SharePoint configuration and support skills.
Some network experience, especially VPN, switches, Firewalls and wireless.
Experience with Red Hat Linux and derived distributions.
Programming skills a plus.
