Job Code: 13-007Position Summary:
DriveCam is seeking self-motivated senior system engineer desiring to make an impact to the field of driver safety. Our product portfolio is comprised of a multifaceted system including managed remote wireless sensors, partner sensor integration, data analytics and SaaS program delivery. Successful candidates are team focused, comfortable working on complex systems and excited about learning new technologies.
Responsibilities:
New feature development including analysis of product requirements, writing functional requirements and supporting the development teams
System integration including third party system analysis and interface control document development
Defining and extending external customer API requirements
Providing requirements decomposition and flow down to the supporting development teams
Formal requirements presentations supporting phase gate reviews
Building and fostering relationships across departments to facilitate team collaboration in the requirements process
Coordinating meetings to drive issue resolution in support of feature requirements clarification
Typical department interactions include product management, hardware, software, business intelligence, IT and enterprise applications
Qualification/Requirements:
Extensive knowledge and proven success in system engineering methods including user requirements analysis, functional requirements development and system test support
Demonstrated success at defining requirements for complex distributed system architectures in support of new features rollouts and functional enhancements
Ability to build and foster relationships across both business and technical departments
Desire to work in a team environment collaborating with technical and business team members
Familiarity with engineering development methodologies including phase gate development and agile methods
Ability to produce functional requirements documents and user stories with acceptance criteria
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Proven ability and desire to champion new ideas
Comfortable reviewing documents based on a subset of industry standard protocols XML, SOAP, REST or vehicle bus (e.g., CAN)
Experience with SQL for data analysis
Wireless and data analysis system experience preferred
Education/Experience:
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent work experience
7+ years? experience with system engineering methods
