We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our fast-growing, dynamic and collaborative team in La Jolla, CA
We are currently seeking an experienced Windows Server Administrator to join our highly talented technical team in a state of the technical environment.
Required Skills
Strong communicator who can maintain healthy professional relationships with internal workforce.
Exceptionally detail oriented with the ability to run multiple projects in a prioritized fashion.
The ability to quickly install new servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with project and operational requirements.
Work with members of individual teams and third-party service providers to implement new technologies and to diagnose and resolve system and platform application failures.
Seasoned experience maintaining enterprise class server hardware located in offsite data centers and colocations.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Maintain backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
Carry out performance reporting to support capacity planning.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
Required Experience
Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related field. Microsoft MCSE, MCITP.
Experienced with 8 years of system administration, infrastructure design, and support experience
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory 2008R2, SQL Server 2008, Exchange 2010, SharePoint 2010 support and administration.
Very familiar with NetApp Data ONTAP 8.0 7-Mode, SnapDrive, SnapMirror, SnapManager for Exchange/SQL, and general NetApp configuration and administration.
Strong VMware ESXi, vSphere 4/5, and Virtual Center expertise.
Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
Participate in On-Call support activities
Desired Certifications
VMware VCP.
NetApp NCDA.
Cisco CCNA.
Exposure to the following technologies: Nagios, and Cacti.
Experience working in mixed PC/Mac/Linux Environment.
Excellent networking knowledge and ability with Cisco routers, firewalls, and switches.
