Summary:
Supervises and manages the daily activities of other systems administrators and oversees the configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Designs and develops web pages and web servers as needed in support of system administration functions. Provides assistance to users in accessing and using the systems.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Management Sciences or other related Intelligence or Information Technology discipline.
Experience:
8 or more years experience in administrating computer systems from basic user administration (add/delete users and privileges) to loading and upgrading operating systems as well as loading and maintaining GOTS/COTS application software and hardware/software troubleshooting.
Skills:
Windows, Linux and/or UNIX administration and basic and advanced commands. PERL scripting is required.
Licensures, Certifications:
Microsoft MCSA or CISCO CCNA certifications are required at start on most projects.

Optimizes system operation
Performs capacity analysis and planning
Other duties/projects as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility: Task leadership may be required.
