The Senior Systems Administrator will maintain our computing environment and networks by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, monitoring system performance, identifying issues, and fine tuning our systems and networks. This position will include optimization, expansion and documentation of current environments as well as the introduction of new technologies and solutions. In addition, this role provides primary and advanced end-user support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain all aspects of Windows 2003/2008 Server and CentOS Linux, including but not limited to clustering, troubleshooting, installing, security, registry, patching, deploying and recovering strategies.
Maintain all aspects of our global corporate network, including edge routers and switches.
Manage the company?s storage and mail systems.
Initiate backup and recovery of operating systems and applications, including disaster recovery.

Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience (I.T. related).
5+ years experience with system and network administration.
Must have a strong understanding of ticketing systems to prioritize and manage workload.
Must have a strong understanding of Microsoft products and information systems development.
Must be able to participate in a team environment and communicate effectively.
Strong analysis and customer service skills required.
Sound problem resolution, judgment and decision making skills required.
Must be detail oriented.
Must possess strong documentation skills.
Proficient in the use and application of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Demonstrates a mastered knowledge and experience working with Windows 2003/2008 Server and CentOS Linux. Must be expert in all aspects of the OS. Extensive experience in Remote Install Services a plus.
Demonstrates a mastered knowledge and experience working with Windows 7. Must be expert in all aspects of the OS.
Demonstrates a mastered knowledge and experience working with Exchange 2010/2013. Must be expert in all aspects of mail systems in a clustered environment. Also must understand Active Sync and have a reasonable understanding of popular mobile devices (ie iPhone, Android) Must be able to troubleshoot issues and perform repairs to the mail system.
Demonstrates a mastered knowledge and experience in the management of storage systems. Understanding of iSCSI SAN/NAS based on EMC and NetApp a plus. Strong knowledge of RAID technologies and methodologies.
Demonstrates a mastered knowledge of networking fundamentals. Knowledge of Foundry and Dell switch gear a requirement. Knowledge of Cisco routers and firewall technology (Cisco 515E / ASA-5510) required.
Demonstrates knowledge of virtualization with experience using VMware required.
