SENIOR SYSTEMS APPLICATION ENGINEERING GROUP MANAGER Audience
Job Description As part of a dynamic technical team, the Senior Systems Application Engineering Group Manager will be responsible for managing the team responsible for designing demo systems, reference platforms, and tools. The successful candidate must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time. Position will have a serious impact on the overall success of company operations. Position reports to Vice President of Applications Engineering.
Responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities
Technical management and support of Systems AE development projects
Manage and lead a cross functional team of skilled EE, SW and ME engineers.
Manages and tracks schedules and communicates risks and priorities.
Provide technical and management leadership to direct reports
The successful candidate would lead the day to day activities of the team having the top level project goals in sight at all times.
The Senior Systems Application Engineering Group Manager role is highly technical. He/she will utilize a solid technical background to understand technical details of cross-functional issues and risks. This will enable you to set the proper priorities and put risk mitigation plans in place.
The role includes the following duties:
Lead cross functional development teams (software, hardware, mechanical)
Management and tracking of development projects
Identify and prioritize project tasks and risks
Communicating status and the big picture to the project team and management
Synchronization of the project with Audience?s development process
Experience, Skills and Education Required
BS EE/CE degree required, MS desired.
10 + years of relevant ndustry experience.
4+ years of cross-functional team management experience.
Excellent communication skills verbally and written
Experience with mobile and/or portable consumer electronics devices.
Strong technical background
Experienced in setting up project schedules and work breakdown structures.
Proven ability to successfully meet deadlines
Team and customer focus
