Senior Systems Engineer Convio

Description- Work on systems administration problems that are diverse in scope and which require complex analysis and an evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Ensure efficiency improvements and changes to operations and system security and integrity are implemented and monitored.
- Conduct systematic performance tuning.
- Participate with the development, documentation and implementation of metrics tracking and reporting.
- Design and implement security measures appropriate to a 24x7 internet environment.
- Design and develop extensive scripting and other automation tasks.
Requirements
- At least 5 years experience of enterprise class Unix Systems Administration (Linux/HPUX)
- Experience in high security data center operations
- Understanding of high-availability architectures and technologies
- Significant experience writing scripts with tools such as Perl and Unix shell
Preferred
- Experience in a public-facing Software as a Service environment
- Experience with Tomcat
- Experience with SQL (reading and writing) - Oracle and/or MySQL
- Experience with basic database administration tasks.
