Senior Systems Engineer - IT Hosting Antenna Software

Position Description:


The Sr. Systems Engineer will serve as a focal point for all hosting and managed service offerings, customer facing projects, maintenance of the Antenna Gateway and liaison between Hosting and other development/product departments. Communication and presentations to Executive level groups on projects and planning. Assist with budgetary planning and purchases. Provide management and leadership for a group of IT professionals located around the globe. Maintain good working relationships with internal departments and external vendors/customers. Travel will be required to other office locations or hosting centers during the year (approx. 10%).







Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Serve as key participant in team meetings, both internally and with customers

Provide a secure Hosting Environment by following best practices and industry standards (NIST)

Tactfully communicate sensitive information

Work with Systems Engineering Manager and Network Manager to support server and network infrastructure

Ensure timely responses are provided to other departmental requests

Asses training needs for hosting team members and provides input on tools required

Ensure projects and tasks are in line with Antenna?s initiatives

Provide weekly reports to Manager

Minimum Requirements:
EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or equivalent

10+ years working in and supporting a RedHat Linux environment, including utilization of RedHat Clustering and in depth LAMP deployment

5+ years Load Balancing technologies including setup and troubleshooting

5+ years Project Management skills

5+ years VMWare v3/v4 server/client configuration

Best practices, following NIST computer standards as well as industry security standards

Knowledge of networking protocols (ie TCP/IP, HTTP etc) and configuring routers/firewalls as well as troubleshooting expertise in these protocols

Hardware and software installation

Passport for travel to international offices
