Education Required:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience Required:
? Minimum of 5 years experience in the areas of responsibility listed below
? System design and specification
? Fluorescent systems design and characterization
? Microfluidic chip design and characterization
Primary Role:
? Develop and maintain systems, with a strong role in electrical engineering
Job Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
? Develop system tests for the RapidHIT and other products
? Develop and test new product components
? Investigates and resolves device and system issues
? Develop functional specification and requirement documents
? Generate and execute product test plans
? Generate product design documentation and reports
? Assist in troubleshooting and resolving product issues reported by customers and/or in validating products to all applicable product specifications
Secondary Responsibilities:
? Participate in product definition and design in coordination with Engineering and Marketing staff
? Mentor and advise more junior engineers
? Coordinate with other members of the technical staff to ensure efficient operation of the Engineering Department
Skills Required:
? Design of analog and digital electronics, including but not limited to filter systems, data acquisition systems, and general control systems
? Experience working with analytical instrumentation and automation equipment
? Experience using circuit layout packages, i.e., CAD Soft Eagle or similar tool
? Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW
? C and/or C++ and/or C# programming
Job Knowledge:
? Knowledge of electronics
? Knowledge of programming
? Biological and Chemistry with experience in DNA analysis
