At Rearden Commerce we're growing our elite offers engineering team to keep up with the surging demand for our leading e-commerce platform in the white-hot “group-buying†space. In under 18 months, our A-list team of 10 engineers has built the technology that each day powers thousands of offer configurations, millions of sent emails, a rapidly growing stream of revenue, and the industry-best embedded platform that brings deals to 100's of millions of users across some of the world's largest content sites, social networks, travel portals, and financial institutions, many of which you likely use every single day.

• Maintaining and deploying core platform components such as Ruby on Rails applications, MySQL, Riak, Redis, Postfix servers and more.
• Distilling down extremely complex ecosystems to create supportable, elegant, and resiliant solutions.
• Writing, pushing, reviewing, testing, and deploying code on a daily basis.
• Architecting web, mobile, and API services for extreme scale, performance, availability.
• Making high level platform decisions that allow for flexible and reusable code.
• Having the flexibility to change gears quickly, adapt rapidly, and perform under pressure.

• Five or more years of Unix systems administration experience.
• Skills automating software installation and administration of all descriptions on remote servers.
• A knack for troubleshooting and can create effective and enduring solutions.
• You love learning and pick things up fast. If you don't know something, you'll ask a few questions and self-teach. In doing so, your communication is concise but productive.
• You enjoy writing elegant code to deploy applications. Currently we are using mostly Ruby, Capistrano, and Bash scripting.
• Experience with web development, software design patterns, and can write readable, maintainable code. Having coded and deployed at scale is a big plus.
• You take pride in your work and deeply care about the resulting experience. Millions of consumers and merchants around the globe will use and rely on your product.
• BS/BA in Computer Science or related experience
