We?re looking for a talented senior systems engineer to join our San Francisco team and move our design capabilities forward. You?ll work closely with our IT and development groups to conceive, create and refine everything our core backend systems from websites to email campaigns to new product experiences and beyond. You?ll be entrusted with developing the Nitro brand and ensuring the highest standards in how we communicate with the world.
What you'll be doing
Communicate, collaborate and integrate technologies between software developers and Information Technology(IT) professionals.
Research, develop and implement systems that scale to web size (millions uniques visits or records).
The systems you would be building would be used as a basis for our websites, marketing campaigns, system monitoring, and data analytics.
Building these systems will require direct coding/scripting in addition to design and research.
Supporting processes that allow for frequent release and deployment cycles (Agile methods)
Helping to support existing systems and continue to evolve these systems along with growing business needs.
What we're looking for
5+ years of professional system and/or software engineering experience
Requires competency with both coding/scripting and information technologies.
Experience with web based technologies (HTML5, XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery)
Experience with scripting based languages (PHP, Python, PERL, UNIX shell, Powershell)
Experience with compiled languages (Java, C#)
Proven experience with translating requirements and technical considerations into solutions and implementing
Bachelors Degree or equivalent industry experience
