About the jobIn the Ops Team, Senior Systems Engineers work closely with our web, mobile and games development teams. We integrate the systems, databases and code that make up all aspects of the user experience. In this position you will have to solve and help others solve complex problems. You won't simply be implementing someone else's code; you will collaborate with the Product, Ops and Development teams to plan and execute these implementations.
About you
You can troubleshoot at any point in the client - server system end-to-end including debugging the code live. You have a favorite database engine and you can debate the reasons why with developers and other ops engineers and you have...
worked directly with development teams on new products to make sure they were secure and would scale
implemented auto-scaling solutions in the cloud or otherwise yet have not lost the ability to troubleshoot hardware and performance problems
automated anything you had to do more than once
built and troubleshoot systems for high-performance, scalable and dependable web services
written clean, manageable and reusable utility code using a language such as PHP, Python, Perl or Bash as part of a fast-paced, team-oriented, ops team
a hunger for new technologies and techniques that you find hard to control
the ability to dissect complex problems to find solvable pieces
