Overture Networks is looking for a Senior TAC Engineer Level I that is prepared to work in a fast paced, highly technical environment. The role of the Senior TAC Engineer Level I involves helping customers on day-to-day technical request issues, such as interoperability testing, configuration and unit install / turn-up, topology design, and troubleshooting. Applicants for this role should be experienced in network lab environments, documenting test results and test cases, as well as troubleshooting remote network environments and topologies. The candidate will need to be well versed in Ethernet networking and it?s applications in the WAN / Metro environment. Duties:
Experience with the following: IP, Ethernet, MPLS, VLANs (802.1q), SOAM / CFM (Y.1731 / 802.3ah), G.8032, G.709, MEF-9, MEF-14, G.SHDSL, 2BASE-TL,
Provide both pre- and post-sales support on all technical issues including training, design, troubleshooting, and implementation
Organizational, presentation, and leadership skills are mandatory
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to think outside the box
Potential 10% - 15% travel
Work closely with account teams to develop early relationships and to provide excellent post-sales support for accounts
Work closely with corporate sponsored partnerships to continuously provide first rate support and technical knowledge transfer
Work closely with engineering to resolve complex customer technical issues
Help design and create new tools to allow our team and customers to work more efficiently
Provide feedback to product management of emerging customer requirements
Qualifications:
BS degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 6+ years in a similar role
