Position: Senior Team Captain, NFLPA Lifecycle Program

NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Lifecycle Program Overview
Athletes? Performance has partnered with the NFLPA to implement and execute the Lifecycle program. This program is designed to facilitate an effective career transition for former players, whether they are recently retired or well into their post-NFL life. Athletes? Performance takes a holistic approach to athlete development and the program will focus on the needs of the ?whole player.? It will emphasize the physical, emotional and mental well-being revolving around specific in-person and digital strategies in the area of mindset, movement, nutrition and recovery. The principle goal is to measurably enhance the health and wellness of athletes after they play professional football.
The Senior Team Captain will work side-by-side with former NFL players who served as team player representatives, on the executive committee, or as locker room leaders for the NFLPA during their careers. This position will collaborate closely with regional captains to engage former players in the NFLPA Lifecycle Program and support them with tools and resources to amplify their reach and impact on the former player community.
The Senior Team Captain will participate in and facilitate regional and national lifestyle events
Coordinate travel and execution of former players participation in the various lifecycle opportunities
Help former players engage in the ?resources and tools?
Liaise directly with general managers, team presidents, player advocates and team representatives
Be available to answer specific questions on the overall Initiative
Participate in weekly calls with Athletes? Performance and the NFLPA leadership team
Track pipeline and engagement activity (both executed and pending)
Be accountable for Captains
Oversee the continuing education of Captains
Help the continued growth of Athletes? Performance ?resources and tools?
Has played 4 seasons in the NFL
Athlete has worked as a team representative/brand ambassador
Athlete can demonstrate bandwidth in the former player community
Athlete has a functional relationship with the NFLPA
Athlete is familiar with and/or an alumnus of Athletes? Performance and the scope of services offered by Athletes? Performance
Regionally based position ? Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Far West
Athlete has completed their bachelor?s degree (or is in the process of completing)
Athletes' Performance/Core Performance conducts post-offer Background Check
