Senior Technical Consultant Wall Street Systems
Operate as part of the software implementation team. Analyze customer technical requirements for highly specialized financial software, documenting specifications and implementing software functionality to meet the requirements. Lead projects from start to finish, and be available to help resolve technical issues on any project. Gather the requirements, analyses, and designs, and document the technical solutions. Assist customers during the scoping phase to translate their needs into a technical solution and implement the solution. Provide accurate and considered analysis of issues along with appropriate solutions to meet the client's requirements. Configuration of the application to accurately represent the client's business and meet their technical requirements. Provide creative and practical solutions to facilitate improved client processes and smooth project implementation. Solution design and build for customer specific development, including interfaces. Plan, perform and document testing of new and existing functionality to define specifications/requirements. Drive client/partner focus to ensure efficient and timely completion of project tasks. Support pre-sales, scoping and requirement definition programs. Intervene on any on-going projects to resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently as called upon by the management.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Math or related plus 5 years of experience. Requires knowledge of the corporate treasury or financial markets environment as well as experience working with other Treasury and Portfolio Management systems. Must possess extensive computer skills including: Unix system administration (Solaris, HP UX, or Linux); Windows system administration; administration of relational database management systems (sybase, MS-SQL Server or Oracle). Must have programming skills in at least one of the following languages: C/C++/Java. Requires programming skills of scripting languages (Python, bash or Perl); programming in SQL; Web server technologies; XML manipulation; and general understanding of networking and HW. Knowledge of implementation/upgrade processes. Must be willing to travel to client sites and work locations as needed.
