The Senior Technical Course Developer and Editor position requires a highly motivated individual with the opportunity to design, develop, manage, and maintain Instructor Led technical training for FireEye Products to our customers and partners worldwide. The position requires expert detail to an Editorial Style Guide ownership
Responsibilities
Ensuring the readiness of all course materials (Participant Guides, Leader Guides as well as technical virtualization capability of trainers) and equipment prior to delivery, including localization, if required
Editorial ownership and creation of Style Guide and maintenance based on corporate initiatives, branding, and legal guidelines
Producing and maintaining high-quality interactive technical instructor led and synchronous virtual courseware using Adult Learning Theory models based on ADDIE methodology
Courseware design, and development for audiences of Global Partners, Customers and Sales Engineers (internal and external) to be delivered by team technical trainers
Topics of training range from Product Knowledge to Malware Forensics as determined by Subject Matter Experts of FireEye
Leveraging technical expertise/experience in support of corporate initiatives and revenue objectives
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of technical courseware editing and developing courses and related business experience in the networking security industry
The candidate must have a Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience.
The candidate must possess a professional teamwork ability while meeting aggressive business project timelines in a rapidly growing environment
Skills
Superb oral, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
The ability to effectively and efficiently articulate complex technical concepts
The ability to quickly understand and assimilate new technologies
A team-focused self-starter with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects to completion in a fast-paced, deadline-driven engineering environment
Desire to enhance technical education services processes and recommend strategies to meet the needs of customers and partners
Must have experience with the following software applications:
Microsoft Office Expert including PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
XML Knowledge and Structured Authoring a plus
Knowledge of Flash, HTML, and Learning Management Systems a plus
Experience creating eLearning courses desired
Technical familiarity with some or all of the following:
IP data networking and planning
Various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix)
Network operations
Project management
Technical/Customer support
