Ruckus Wireless, the Wi-Fi industry?s acknowledged leader in innovation, revenue growth, and carrier deployment market share, is seeking more high-caliber talent for our technical marketing organization.
The Senior Technical Marketing Engineer position will offer the right candidate the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the success of our sales team and channel partners, primarily through technical collaboration within our solution partner ecosystem (our RIOT program), as well as general technical marketing support for the field. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with significant, hands-on Wi-Fi expertise to tackle critical problems and collaborate with the field and customers to define and validate new end to end solutions.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Leading the technical certification processes with solution partners
Conducting interoperability tests between Ruckus wireless networks and other solution elements
Capturing and sharing best practices from joint customer deployments
Writing configuration guides and application notes to aid in sales and implementation of joint solutions
Providing guidance to Ruckus and partner product management on use cases and incremental product/feature requirements and priorities to enhance joint solutions
Sharing responsibility with the rest of the technical marketing team for general field support as time-critical requirements arise (e.g. for competitive testing, RFI/RFP responses, pre-sales queries, demos, etc?)
Providing and validating technical content included in Ruckus and partner marketing, sales and training materials
This position reports to the Director of Technical Marketing and is located in Sunnyvale, CA.
The successful candidate must have:
5+ years of experience in the telecommunications equipment industry, including at least 3 years in the Wi-Fi field
Experience with products deployed in conjunction with enterprise and/or carrier Wi-Fi networks, such as wireless VoIP phones, location/asset tracking systems, handheld devices, NAC solutions, subscriber gateways, directory servers, connection managers, etc.
Strong skills in system test plan design and execution, including flawless attention to detail
Excellent customer focus and experience working with customers and partners in diverse vertical market and technical environments
Demonstrable quality and productivity in technical marketing content creation
Strong command of written English, including crisp, user-friendly instructions for system configuration and deployment best practices (relevant writing samples will be required)
The will and attitude required to drive a company?s success by enabling the success of others in the organization
An undergraduate degree in the sciences or engineering
