About the Job:
We are looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our team working with mobile operator partners. This includes project management with large organizations, leading a cross functional team to reach technical service and infrastructure milestones during a long-term partner engagement. The role will be responsible for continuing to drive our worldwide expansion through direct partner engagements. The role will own the partner engagements from a technical perspective, and will work closely with Business Development on the overall partner strategy.
Own the overall plan and milestones for your project. Be able to communicate both the business and technical rationale behind important product decisions
Collaborate on functional specs, convey technical challenges of partner, devise and share technical solution ideas to internal engineers, designers, product mangers, as well as the external partner stakeholders
Manage the daily technical and product needs with our mobile operator partners
Manage and improve Twilio?s learning from current engagements with an eye toward improving future engagements
Work closely with the product organization to advocate for partners and help define deliverables
Work cross functionally with Business Development, Support, Engineering, Legal, Marketing, along with a similar cross functional team from the partner organization, on a regular basis
7+ years relevant experience in a client-facing role, such as technical partner relationships or program management
Comfortable with technical projects, experience with developing or supporting APIs
Comfortable with testing & communicating network and hosting configurations for communication applications & services
Experience with product & service analytics, including creative analysis and new conclusions as a result
Strong oral and written communication skills ? specifically the ability to speak fluently to business development leaders, C and VP-level executives, product managers, and engineers
Good knowledge of creating processes and improving efficiencies within large organizations
Ability to diplomatically address customer concerns and provide feedback
Ability to lead and inspire internal and customer teams to meet deadlines, product launch obligations, and build world-class products
Ability to balance multiple projects and engagements at the same time
Strong understanding of mobile operator business models and priorities
Deep knowledge in mobile, particularly with voice, messaging, and billing systems
Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams
Experience working on international programs and projects, Europe & Asia a plus
Highly organized and detail oriented
You are a person who thrives in a fast-moving environment.
A BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math is strongly encouraged.
