Senior Technical Support Engineer MapR Technology
In this exciting position, you will provide the highest level of Technical Support to MapR?s rapidly growing customer base. You will provide help to these enterprises throughout the Pre and Post Sales process. Hands-on with Linux administration and package deployment tools
Deployment and maintenance of distributed applications/services across multiple machines
Shell scripting (Shell, Perl, or Python)
Storage Administration / Volume Management
Excellent documentation and communication skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
Web 2.0 (Apache web server, PHP, VMware) and/or database (MySQL) with ability to deploy, support, and diagnose real issues in a production environment
Distributed data storage and processing
Hadoop stack configuration & deployment
Ability to trace (read and understand) Java & C++
BS Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
5 years experience in troubleshooting integrated and complex systems
