This document describes the responsibilities and requisite experience of the Senior Technical Training Manager. The successful candidate will be accountable for the creation, execution and management of all manner of technical training programs at Fluidigm. These include, but are not limited to new and continuing education of staff and partners, training protocols and materials, as well as oversight for field and headquarter based customer trainings. Strong organization, execution and leadership skills are essential.
Directs program activities in support of all customer and employee training touch points in the usage of Fluidigm products.
Ensures related content and materials, meet overall customer support objectives.
Leads creation, production and maintenance of training tools- documents, slide decks, videos, social media, and e-tools.
Interacts with customers andfunctional organizations to develop training course content, and format and schedule.
Works with Marketing, R&D, Technical Support and Manufacturing to ensure that course materials reflects current product features.
Manages the staffing and scheduling of in-house trainings.
Develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Measures effectiveness and impact of course structure and content via direct and indirect measurements of performance with special attention given to product adoption and utilization rates.
Bachelor?s or higher in the Life Sciences. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of ten years direct experience in leading staff or customer trainings.
Relevant experience in Technical or Customer Support, including laboratory work. Special consideration given to those with a proven track record of building and managing a Customer Training Center.
