Who We Want:
Are you passionate about creating engaging content to support industry-leading poducts? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and innovative environment? Bazaarvoice is seeking to hire a Senior Technical Writer to author content for our flagship Conversations product. This is a strategic role that requires leadership, independent thinking, creativity and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Author high-quality content that is engaging, concise and thorough.
Become a product expert, and an expert at understanding our clients? needs.
Apply instructional design methodologies to deliver top-notch adult learning experiences to clients.
Take the lead on release management activities to ensure that all constituencies are prepared for product releases.
Think outside the box to develop content that drives clients to adopt best practices.
Create infographics and other visuals to illustrate concepts.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve upon existing content, and implement those improvements.
Communicate complex or technical topics in a manner that non-technical audiences can understand and grasp.
Serve as a vital member of an agile product development team.
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
5+ years related business experience in content management and synthesis of technical and client-facing documents. Samples of work will be requested.
Excellent communication and writing skills, with an emphasis in technical/marketing writing skills.
Experience and proficiency with change management processes and methodologies.
Understanding o experience (technical proficiency or knowledge) of applicable Web technologies (e.g., eCommerce platforms, JAVA, XML, APIs, web analytics, etc)preferred
Able to meet deadlines and complete multiple projects under extremely tight time frames.
Self-driven, resourceful, and able to achieve goals independently as well as to work well in matrixed groups.
Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
Ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gather team consensus to move forward.
Able to communicate clearly with peers as well as management.
Ability to interface with product management, development, and services delivery groups to execute delivery of documentation.
Familiarity wth DITA XML a plus.
