Senior Technical Writer Interactions
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED As a Senior Technical Writer you will be responsible for developing software developer-facing documentation, operations manuals, diagnostic guides as well as end-user-facing product documentation, including online Help and Wikis for the Interactions virtual assistant range of voice applications.
For engineering documentation, working closely with the Software Development and Professional Services teams, you will be responsible for documenting software system architecture, database schemas, programming interfaces (API), software release information, operational processes and software development lifecycle processes. These documents will need to conceptualize and illustrate software systems structuring, runtime behavior, and interactions among software components using flowcharts and other graphical diagrams when appropriate.
For end-user-facing documentation, working with Client Services, you will be documenting information about new software features, and developing effective customer documentation for our reporting and analytics portals.
You will be also responsible for evaluation and selection of documentation tools and establishing style and process guidelines.
Project lead for all documentation projects
Project planning, soliciting input from subject matter experts, authoring new, and maintaining existing client-facing and internal documentation for software applications, architectures, databases, and programming APIs
Developing and updating Wikis and FAQs to be included with software applications
7+ years of experience authoring developer-facing and user-facing documentation, including online help (candidates will be asked to provide writing samples at interview)
Proficiency in mainstream documentation tools in the Java environment
Strong self-initiative and ability to create project plans, work on several projects concurrently, and deliver quality documentation under tight deadlines with minimum supervision
Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong motivation to learn new business domain concepts in a high-paced environment
Experience with voice applications and VoIP terminology is a plus
Education and Training:
Bachelor?s degree or higher in a communications or technology-related field
