Department: Customer EnablementThe Senior Technical Writer position is part of the Customer Enablement team and is responsible for developing customer-facing publications for our Encompass360 product line. Publications can include online help, field help, user guides, video tutorials, release notes, quick reference guides, white papers, and knowledge base articles.
Primary Responsibilities/Objectives:
As a member of this team, the Senior Technical Writer will:
Research, develop, and maintain customer-facing publications.
Work with product managers to develop publication plans for new products and enhancements to existing products.
Work with subject-matter-experts to research and develop content that is accurate, clear, concise, and meets the usability needs of our users.
Participate as a member of Agile development teams
Review and edit draft versions of publications created by teammates.
Collaborate with teammates to ensure that release deadlines are met and publications are consistent with established styles and standards.
Experience and Skills:
A minimum of 4-6 years? experience developing technical publications, preferably in the software industry
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment
PC proficiency including MS office applications
Proficiency with online help authorware, Madcap Flare strongly preferred
FrameMaker proficiency highly desired
Adobe Captivate proficiency a plus
Experience in the mortgage industry a plus
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment a plus
