We use a robust dialer suite that is quickly expanding into a complex telephony solution to complement its award winning Sales form automation platform (CRM) SaaS platform. The Telephony Software Support Engineer will provide operational support and hardening of systems to prevent failures for all the telephony applications. The candidate must have a strong background in legacy and modern telecommunication systems (web services) with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Work in close association with the applications development team to understand and support CTI applications.
Provide operational Tier III level support for telephony applications. Internally troubleshoot applications using knowledge of web services, Java application servers, database queries, CTI, web service APIs, SIP and other related services.
Work directly with the applications development team to understand and document telecom applications, cross train the professional services group, create test plans, perform system testing, and provide ongoing support for internally developed applications.
Work with monitoring team to ensure that critical telecommunications systems are included in the monitoring solution.
Produce postmortem reports and provide recommendations or alternatives to address system problems, deficiencies, or issues related to technology incidents.
Closely monitor telecommunications interaction with the database administrators to design, develop, and enhance telecommunication related databases to ensure optimal performance.
Assist with maintaining call flow, architecture, inter-system dependencies, and other documentation related to the dialer infrastructure.
Escalate and work with technology partners technical support groups to resolve technology issues.
2+ years of VoIP troubleshooting experience (certification a plus).
2+ years diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with existing Telecom and Web applications.
4+ years working with VoIP protocols, QoS standards and policies.
6+ years working with legacy telephone systems, operating systems, server hardware configurations and fundamental database operations.
Proven experience in the operation and analysis of application server hardware, software and standards.
Expert knowledge of server operating systems, including Linux, UNIX and Windows.
Demonstrate expert knowledge of web services and how they work between various telephony applications.
Knowledge of SMS/800 services.
Experience writing and executing T-SQL queries.
Experience with Internet based telephony systems, SolarWinds, .NET, and Windows stack a plus.
