Job Description:
Senior Test Automation Engineer
Assurance in SS8 is a member of QA team who is responsible for testing both frontend and backend of the product. The candidate is expected to be able to work closely with both core development engineers and other QA engineers. Understand testing methodology and ability to set-up, troubleshoot problem and drive project to closure.
Job Duties:
Duties include reviewing functional requirements and product requirements, creating test architectures to assure full test coverage, designing, writing and executing testcases, filing bug report
Setting up test environment
Communicate progress and escalate issues to management in a timely manner
Required Skills/Experience
5+ years working as Senior QA engineer on software product
7+ years experience in various OS platform ? Linux, Unix, Windows.
Strong knowledge in internet and networking protocol like TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, RADIUS
Strong knowledge in scripting language and MYSQL
Strong knowledge in Telephony (VOIP, wireline and wireless)
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong debugging/problem resolution skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively in a dynamic environment
Ability to enter a new field, analyze test requirements, create test architectures and test thoroughly
Own and drive tasks to completion with excellent quality.
Excellent team player.
Self-Starter, detail oriented, organized, independent, strong sense of ownership and urgency, flexible, adaptable and fast learner
Required Education
BS.or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
