Based in Houston, TX, Alert Logic is seeking to hire a Senior UI Developer who is an expert in JavaScript (jQuery) and PHP using Object Oriented technologies to help us design and implement the next generation of our Security-As-A-Service multi-tenant UI.If you have a passion for software development, join us for the opportunity to excel in a fast-paced, performance-based environment and a chance to be surrounded by peers and leaders who inspire, motivate, and innovate. Responsibilities:
Developing high quality JavaScript, PHP, and CSS code
Working as a member of a cross functional team comprised of C, Erlang, and UI Developers, as well as QA Engineers and Product/Project Management
Making design and implementation decisions with both technical and visual standards in mind
Working collaboratively with QA from start to finish of each project
Writing and maintaining self-documenting code with extensive unit testing
Working directly with backend developers to integrate business logic and presentation
Required Skills:
BS in CS, CE, EE or equivalent work experience
Must be extremely comfortable working in a Linux environment
Expert in JavaScript, JQuery and JQuery UI
HTTP REST API Interfaces
JSON
CSS3 and Sprite based layouts
Relational database experience
Proven experience delivering and supporting production level web applications used by large numbers of concurrent users
Desired Skills:
Experience with C and/or C++ programming a plus.
Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX system level APIs a plus.
Knowledge of network protocols such as IP, TCP, UDP, and HTTP a plus
