You have solid grounding in interactive design principles and capable of defining design standards for a site that is used by multiple types of users
You bring your ideas from the initial concept stages through interactive prototypes
You are able to test your ideas and measure effectiveness of your design decisions
You can provide samples of your work during the interview process
In this position, you will:
Report to the Director of Product Management as part of the product team that?s defining the next generation of Communispace?s applications
Shape the user experiences across the Communispace product suite on the web, tablets, and mobile devices
Use your UI design skills to sketch out screens collaboratively with product and technical team members
Leverage your HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills to create and test static prototypes
Conduct user interface testing
You will lead efforts to improve application accessibility
You will develop UI and user flows, write compelling copy and create mockups and working prototypes to convey your ideas to stakeholders and engineering
Maintain the design and info architecture guidelines (and ensure adherence to them)
Work with engineering to validate feasibility of visual and functional concepts and to make sure they work across browsers
You will perform user research to develop personas, validate your concepts with the userbase and conduct usability tests using your mockups, prototypes and live code
Required Skills/Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in a related field
5+ years of directly related experience in designing web-based and consumer software interfaces
Must be familiar with responsive web design principles
Strong knowledge of visual design fundamentals, including layout and typography
Must have demonstrateable experience of tools such as Balsamiq and knowledge of technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
impressive portfolio of mockups and prototypes required
You must be able to clearly articulate, in writing and verbally, design flow principles their advantages and challenges to various types of audiences
Solid understanding of industry standards, technologies, and trends
