Senior User Experience Designer/Architect Skytap
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The pragmatic visionary
Are you passionate about designing best-in-class user experiences that delight customers and accelerate business success? Ever been accused of being responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative team environment? Our future senior UX designer/architect is a pragmatic visionary who can translate business needs into elegant customer-focused solutions.
You?ll be developing superior experiences in areas ranging from information architecture documents and user interface designs to interaction models and prototypes?all in a fast-paced, Agile, startup environment. A bachelor?s degree or similar experience required?a degree in design or a related field may be a plus.
A strong user experience skill set including strategy, information architecture, and design aesthetic.
An informed set of core values regarding user experience, technology, and business communication?and the ability to present them with eloquence and concision.
Why People Love it Here
We?re located in the historic Dexter Horton building on the edge of Pioneer Square in downtown Seattle?oh, the views.
The oldest coffee shop in Seattle is on our ground floor. Great beans. Their selection of teas is also stellar?we approve.
Transportation: We?re sort of at the transport mecca: buses, ferries, and trains all lead here.
Equipment: Mac? PC? Huge screen? Vertical screen? Let us know what you need to do your best work.
Snacks: Our office has two kitchens, stocked with free bagels, fruit, granola treats, and other unmentionable sweets.
Beverages: We?re fully stocked with free beverages?coffee, tea, soda, and Dylan?s famous Arnie Palmer fixins.
Fab Food Friday: Each Friday we order in a delicious lunch from one of our local cafes or restaurants. Gratis!
Air Hockey Tournaments: Sometimes we need to shake it out with a little amateur sport on site.
The Lounge: Designers need comfortable spaces?it?s simple a fact. When you?re bored with your desk, kick back and create in recline mode.
But on to the grown-up stuff:
Our compensation is competitive?don?t let the startup moniker fool you?and includes health/dental/vision, 401k and stock options.
Flexible work hours. We find that the best solutions are discovered in the some of the most unconventional situations.
And here?s an added bonus: Skytap is really more at the emerging company stage, so you?re side-stepping the risk associated with a true bootstrap startup. But we?ll never let go of the energy, inspiration, and dedication from our startup days?that culture is here to stay.
