JOB CODE: LOCATION: Seattle, WA
GENERAL PURPOSE: The Sr. UX/Graphic Designer creates the user experience and graphic design for a new
suite of products for cruise line passengers and other people at sea.
? Produce user flows, wireframes, prototypes, user interface specifications, and final graphics.
? Transform concepts, requirements and high-level feature descriptions into clear, useful, usable and
visually appealing UX flows that anticipate user needs.
? Create mobile-first interaction designs
? Create concept designs (storyboards, interactive demos, videos).
? Ensure consistency between the various platforms and establish standards for user interfaces.
? Work directly with developers to ensure designs are implemented as effective user experiences
? Inspire and mentor others on the team (non designers) to embrace great user experiences and to
design them in from the start, not as an afterthought.
? Any other related duties/tasks as may be assigned.
NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS: Works under the supervision of the VP of Product Management and
interacts directly with internal and external contacts.
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor?s Degree in visual design, interactive design or similar
? 7+ years of experience
? Portfolio of released products and services.
? High technical understanding and capability.
? Expert in optimizing the user experience on various devices.
? Comfortable with collaborative, interactive and rapid development cycles, tight schedules, as well as
agile/scrum development flows.
? Able to seek out input and feedback, but not bend where you feel strongly
? Deliver innovative, practical and simple solutions with very high attention to detail.
? Possesses excellent verbal and writing skills
? Mastered the standard tools of the design trade, e.g. Photoshop, Fireworks, Visio, Omnigraffle,
Illustrator, Dreamweaver and HTML/CSS.
? Generated concept videos and working prototypes (Flash, Director, etc.) for communicating product
design visions internally and running usability tests on possible product directions
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: This position requires heavy computer use. Office environment.
