Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the SVP of Business Development is an executive who can identify potential deals and develop the tactics and teams needed to bring them to fruition. This executive must be a self-starter who is driven to help to create a world class business development tea. This executive will need to actively lead the business development function in an effective, aggressive manner. At the same time, this executive is also expected to be a contributor to the management of the company as a whole, as a member of the senior management team. For the right executive this is an opportunity to build on our early success in business development.
?Initiate, develop and grow relationships with top tier partners in but not limited to consulting firms, software providers, SaaS businesses and others
?Create and execute strategic joint business planning and partner plans with short and long term horizons
?Produce and manage business cases for prospective and existing partners in collaboration with Product Marketing and Product Management departments
?Work with alliance sales organizations to promote and refer net new business to the company.
?Conduct a market analysis and develop an understanding of key business issues in potential partner ecosystems or verticals
?Serve as the senior leader in the business development group and be the external face of helping to create partnerships
?Manage multiple business initiatives in a rapidly growing environment
?Build and manage a business development team that supports our various GTM strategies
?10+ years of proven success in business development or alliance management roles in an enterprise software or SaaS based business that helped to drive revenue
?SaaS Alliance background a plus
?Proven ability to recognize, analyze and take action on go to market approaches, value proposition and business cases around strategic partnerships
?Cross-functional influence and well-developed relationship building skills, willing to take a leadership role driving initiatives, working across organizations and structuring approaches to new opportunities
?Well-honed project management and organizational skills
?Strong business acumen and negotiation abilities
?Ability to travel is required
