As a key member of the executive team, the SVP Products will report directly to the company?s founder & CEO, Jud Bowman. The candidate will bring to the team solid experience in delivering profitable products within the mobile advertising space. Ideally, the candidate will have contributed in the recent past to the success of a leading mobile advertising technology company where s/he developed the key skills to be successful in this role:
Strategy/Vision of how the mobile advertising business is evolving
Hands-on know expertise in building and delivering mobile ad technology products
Abundant and important relationships with partners driving innovation and solutions in the mobile advertising space
This role requires a product executive that is equally comfortable working with the product management and engineering teams on tactical deliverables, as well as participating and leading strategic initiatives both internally and externally that drive the company?s product and business forward. In a nutshell, this role demands someone that can lead the product strategy and execution of Appia?s rapidly growing mobile advertising business.
Demonstrated experience defining product strategy and leading the organizations that built best in class mobile adverting systems, ideally SSP/DSP products.
A 10+ year career track with progressively responsible product oriented roles - spanning a combination of mobile and digital advertising companies.
Experience managing the product life cycle, including business plans, pricing, competitive analysis, new product introduction and product launches.
Solid understanding of agile development methodologies and product development processes.
Success in taking one product and expanding that into an entire product portfolio.
Eagerness to partner with the sales team to understand and prioritize customer product needs.
An infectious customer-centric focus with the ability to understand, simplify and communicate technical product specifications and functionality to both internal and external audiences.
An established set of relationships with most of the major advertisers and publishers.
Educational background in engineering or Computer Science, plus an MBA qualification is highly desirable.
Product DNA, but with a strong visionary/ strategic product perspective - equally comfortable talking Scrum methodologies with the development team and discussing industry trends at the Board Meeting.
Results orientation with exceptional time management and organizational skills, including the ability to accurately gauge project duration, deliver quality output on budget and on time, solve problems and see them through to resolution.
Excellent communication skills - both speaking and listening. A demonstrated ability to influence and gain buy-in from all internal stakeholders.
A decisive and inspiring leader that can ensure the development and nurturing of ?star? performance within the team.
Ability to work well cross-functionally across the company and with the Board.
Respected in the mobile advertising industry - a recognized product leader that is known for delivering great products.
Entrepreneurial in outlook; polished, confident, outgoing.
